Discuss the hunter guy. I personally enjoyed him in book and movie (i was dissapointed when he died in the movie, he was a good character).

I also liked him in the book too, especially as he survived. He seemed to be the only employee who had doubts about the park, making him probally one of the smarter characters.

Malcolm and Muldoon are my favourite characters. It is so funny to read the Muldoon's jeep chase after the T. rex! And the way he faces the raptors being drunk? AMAZING!

Do you remember this section:

And [Ellie] didn't see any raptors at all. In fact, the gardens and trees were almost eerily silent.
"Hey!" she shouted into the fog, tentatively.
Muldoon leaned against the door frame. "I doubt that'll do it," he said. "You've got to make a noise. "
He hobbled out carrying a steel rod from the construction inside. He banged the rod against the bars like a dinner gong.
"Come and get it! Dinner is served!"
"Very amusing," Ellie said. She glanced nervously toward the roof. She saw no raptors.
"They don't understand English." Muldoon grinned. "But I imagine they get the general idea..."

Muldoon was the only guy in the Park next to Wu who has a brain.
I mean, if you have dinsoaurs like Raptors or a T-Rex in your park you need to have some friggin' guns just in case.

But those were the most expensive animals in the planet. It's reasonable that Hammond didn't wanted guns around Nublar and Sorna.

Well in case the Raptors break out it was wise to have some machine guns.
I never really undrstood the appeal of the Raptors in the park, best to poison and kill them.

The presence of dangerous species would increase visitor numbers, I gess. People would want to see those devils. And they were added to the story to kill the characters, of course: that's a thriller novel.

Hyenas, I think. I saw an documentary more than 10 years ago which showed how they killed an infant buffalo by eviscerating it with a large number of small bites. The buffallo keep running and its mother tried to protect it, but it became killed and eated at the end. In The Lost World Crichton said good things about hyenas, but I never forgot that video.
